MyFixitUpLife talk show: Mastering Plumbing w/ Sterling

Listen to the show! (Shown here: Sterling Plumbing's Accord seated shower)

Mark & Theresa are Mastering Plumbing with two of our favorite master plumbers Ed Del Grande and This Old House’s Rich Trethewey inside the world of Sterling Plumbing at the International Builders’ Show.

If you want to know about the EPA’s ‘Water Sense‘ program, Ed explains what you need to know when you’re selecting the perfect plumbing fixtures for your home. Hint: It’s kind of like the ‘Energy Star’ program made for plumbing.

Ed tells us how we can save up to 40,000 gallons of water every tear, how Sterling is reinventing the toilet, the difference between rough and finish plumbing, and where it makes sense to install a dual-flush toilet.

Richard gives his expert advice on not scrimping on the stuff you don’t see in your home, and shares stories of the This Old House guys going to the backlot of Universal, flying with the Blue Angels, diving off the USS Nebraska, climbing up the Golden Gate Bridge, and more.

Richard Trethewey talks w/ Mark & Theresa

They are also talking aging-in-place showers, glass designs, and new options in toilets and tubs.

And they are answering one fan’s question about the installing a shower pan. So if you’re thinking about working on a kitchen or bath anytime soon, this show was custom-built especially for you.

Check the MyFixitUpLife show schedule to find out who is checking in with MyFixitUpLife’s Mark and Theresa this week.

Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this site. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very difficult to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability and visual appeal. I must say you have done a fantastic job with this. Also, the blog loads very fast for me on Chrome. Superb Blog!

  17. One thing I’d really like to say is that often car insurance cancellations is a dreaded experience so if you’re doing the appropriate things as being a driver you simply will not get one. A number of people do are sent the notice that they’ve been officially dropped by their particular insurance company and several have to scramble to get added insurance from a cancellation. Low-priced auto insurance rates are frequently hard to get from cancellation. Having the main reasons for auto insurance termination can help owners prevent losing one of the most crucial privileges offered. Thanks for the suggestions shared via your blog.
