While searching the internet, I came across shingle art.
Now, the concept is pretty cool, except for the fact that it might not make a quality roof.

I can honestly say that I don’t think I’ve ever seen shingles used like that before. It’s definitely an interesting idea, to say the least! Is that first picture of an actual roof, or is it just a board with the shingles attached to it? It’d be neat to incorporate designs like that into actual roofing!
