I love upcycling treasures, like cabinets, from Habitat ReStore for so many reasons.
The first is the amazing and unique finds, from vintage pieces to trendy new items from well-known stores.
The second reason is that the items are donated, so the money I spend goes to helping build homes for others. So I get a more awesome home, and so does someone else!
There are often cabinets at most of the Habitat for Humanity ReStores. Collections of cabinets can help remodel an entire kitchen, and there also are cabinet door fronts and single cabinets in stock. The cabinet fronts inspired me to create a little plant stand.
Upcycling cabinet doors is a fun project. The modular and detailed doors are like pieces to a home decor puzzle. They could be repurposed into shelves, benches, or bar carts. It’s just a matter of finding the right pieces, and figuring out what would work best for your home.
I shared this upcycle with Habitat for Humanity, and they shared it on the Habitat ReStore blog. I hope you’ll click below and be as inspired to shop, repurpose and make stuff as we are.
