DIY CON is an epic day of holiday DIY workshops with some of Theresa’s favorite gurus of woodworking, crafting, baking, entertaining, and upcycle.

We’re kicking off December with you, getting our DIY on for the holidays for four hours on blab.im.

You’ll hear creative experts share tips, ideas, and inspirations, and you can watch the DIY projects live. All times on the schedule were ET.

DIY CON schedule details are updating daily!

3pm  Tracy Hutson, the fabulous designer from Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, is sharing a holiday ornament DIY project. You’ll need mason jars, feathers, hot glue, fake snow (coarse sea salt or baking soda and water), thin ribbons, little figurines and a clear or colorful Christmas ornament.

3:30pm Taniya Nayak, designer for Food Network’s Restaurant Impossible, is sharing ideas for creative holiday decorating. Details to post soon!

4pm Tara Rex from TaraDaraMadeIt.com is sharing a fun mosaic project. You’ll tile adhesive, grout, a backer, adhesive, wire, tile or plate that is broken or that you are OK with smashing.

4:30pm Liz Latham, DIY expert from HoosierHomemade, shares an easy holiday decorating project with a paper cone and spray paint.

5pm Allison Oropallo from HGTV’s All American Handyman and a STEM education instructor is sharing how to make a wine bottle buddy. Supplies: You’ll need a piece of scrap wood at least 3 inches wide by 8 inches long, a drill with spade bit and an oscillating tool or jigsaw.

5:30pm Pauline Henderson from MyAlteredState.co  is showing us how to make a kid DIY friendly holiday village from scrap wood shapes. For the supplies, you’ll need blocks, saw (to cut your wood if you don’t have scrap pieces), sandpaper, paints, artist paint brushes, glow-in-the-dark paint, spray paint, glue, embellishments.

6pm Nancye Good from Earth Living Skills is showing us how to make a bow-and-arrow. You’ll need a green stick, oak or maple about as thick as your index finger and as long as your arm, a whittling knife and some artificial sinew, plus another straight stick to make an arrow out of. She’ll also share how to make a flaming arrow.

6:30pm Kathy Cano-Murillo from CraftyChica  is making watercolor paper earrings that can also be adapted to be ornaments! You’ll need watercolor paper, Craft paint, brushes, cup of water, earring hooks, jump rings, safety pin (to poke a hole in the earrings), water based varnish and of course glitter!

7pm Anitra Mecadon from DIY Network’s Mega Dens is showing us how to make holiday ornaments out of plastic champagne flutes.

We’ll be posting the video here and on YouTube after the the live event, so you can make the projects you love at your own pace and in your own happy workspace.
