Jack’s blog: A ‘Box’ is more than just its insides

So you see a box, and it’s a thing. A container. Something that you fill up with stuff, right?

Well, I’ve got some news that you might not really know about yet. And it’s this: A box can become more than just what you see.

You might not know this, but my passion in life is trucks. I like excavators, dump trucks, car carriers, tractors, and pretty much anything that has a motor and moves.

So speed boats, motorcycles, and even my mom’s car is better than having a tea party or looking at a stuffed animal. (I mean come on, stuffed animals just take up space. Well, except for when they are delivered in a cool box.)

So I gather up boxes in my spare time. I hunt them in the cabinets. I pull them out of the recycling. I take them from my sister’s room. And when they are HUGE or heavy, they are the best kind to hunt. That’s why I have muscles. My muscles are like boxes. They are meant to do a job.

I imaginate that all the boxes are trucks. And they aren’t all the same kind of truck, either. Sound effects help. But don’t worry about the details. It’s complicated.

But my point is that a box can be whatever you want it to be. And that’s pretty cool.
