I’m all about moving fast.
I don’t just walk to pick up my trucks. I run.
I don’t just stand to wait for something to happen. I bounce.
I don’t just hug my dad. I tackle him to the ground with a headlock. Chin out. Tough guy stuff. You get me, right?
So it might surprise you that sometimes the best move is to not make a move. You know. Stand still without the hops. Think stuff over. Consider whether to pounce in the mud or drive a truck through it. Both can be good choices.
Reason I stop to think happens when I’m dealing with stuff I can’t control like other people. People slow me down. They ask questions. They stand where I’m planning to go. They move my stuff and don’t put it back where I want it. I need people like my Mom and Dad to help me every day with stuff like getting dressed and making my lunch. And don’t get me started on stuff like driving the car.
I always say it takes a fast mover to make the clearest decisions. Slow down, figure it out, then get at it. Trust me, I know. There’s no time to look back when you’re already on to the next thing.
