Started by husband and wife team Ed and Kate Sultan, they were at a crossroads in life when a small need combined with a big passion that turned into their life’s work.
Ed and Kate bought a 1919 bungalow and discovered that their furniture didn’t fit the clean lines and structural details of the home so Ed, then a hobbyist woodworker, converted the garage into a shop and and started cutting. Kate on the other hand is a retail ace and with the creation of furniture and a passion for detailed design, they realized they were on to something.
Today Modern Bungalow is not only a resource for furniture and design lovers—especially of the Arts & Crafts style—to shop for lighting, rugs, tiles, pottery and home accents but Ed and Kate can help you with an overall home design that, like them, helps you fit your space and your space fit you.
