well, it’s hard to know if those things that claim to be good for us, really are good for us.

From indoor air quality and plants to our pillows and paint, there are so many opportunities to increase the healthy-factor inside our homes. And what really is ‘organic architecture’ and ‘sustainable home design’?

Tracy Hutson is a designer and author of the book ‘Feathering the Nest,’ where she shares ideas for creating kid-spaces that are mentally stimulating, emotionally comforting, and environmentally smart. For several years, Tracy shared her design ideas as part of the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition team, and she shared her passion for turning ‘junk’ into cool decor on Picker Sisters with Tanya McQueen.

Green Builder Media’s Ron Jones is recognized as one of the fathers of the green building movement. Instrumental in establishing guidelines and programs through NAHB, USGBC and a variety of regional initiatives, he has more recently worked with the International Code Council in the development of both the National Green Building Standard (ICC 700) and the International Green Construction Code. He is the charter chairman of the Green Builder Coalition, a grassroots non-profit advocacy group whose goal is to promote integrity in the building industry, and beyond, in an effort to return balance and harmony to the relationship between the built environment and the natural one.
