Simonton Asure Windows and Doors: Let in the Light

Simonton’s new Asure windows and patio doors do two things that I really like. First, they let in more light than other fenestration (fenestration: a five-dollar word for windows and doors) and second, they look great doing it.

First, the light. I know it may sound like a reach to tout this feature—what glass doesn’t let visible light in—but my experience in my own home proves to me otherwise. From the “I Couldn’t Make This Up If I Tried” file, while producing several videos with our home as the location I had to clean the windows. Sure enough, a few seasons of spring cleaning had gotten by me and the difference between dirty and clean was downright visible. It was easier to see—everything—inside the house. I could see better, my eyes worked less and my stress level went down by a measurable factor. And Asure’s thinner (but no less durable) frames let even more light pass than typical windows. More light, easier to see, nicer to be home. Boom.

There are even some studies that say people who get more light—especially during winter months—require fewer health services. It wouldn’t be windows alone that keep the doctor away I don’t think, but like anything with our health it’s not usually one thing, but an entire strategy of which windows can play a big role.

Now, the looking good. While increasing the glass area, Simonton’s redesigned frame and modified sash deliver “stepped” rails and stiles giving the frame a deeper, more detailed look than other replacement units. Primo. Nuance, shadow-lines, clean welds and tight miters are key to me in a window or door frame that you like to look at for years on end.

The windows incorporate Simonton’s tested and proven constant force balance system, allowing homeowners to operate the sash with ease. Backed by a Double-Lifetime Limited Warranty, the constant force balance has been tested to 4,000 cycles and meets ASTM and AAMA Gold standards. Awesome.

You can get Asure windows nationwide in Double Hung, Picture, Slider, Half-round, Half-round with leg and Eyebrow with leg so they fit pretty much any style home. Asure can also be ordered to meet ENERGY STAR® criteria in all regions of the country, which is a huge benefit.
That’s Asure-ing.
