I love sharing DIY projects with Habitat.org. Usually when I shop Habitat for Humanity ReStore, I have an idea, and then the shop’s treasures make it even better.

Not every DIY project upcycle starts with a trip to the home improvement center for supplies… when the fun can start at a Habitat ReStore.

When I’m working on a project, from a backyard makeover to a bedroom makeover, I am always thinking about how we can make the space special to the homeowners.

And when there is a limited supply of unique items in a garage or basement, I like to head out to the local Habitat for Humanity ReStore.

For this little project, I created a work station with an old school desk, vanity chair, wall sconces, jewelry box, and a few other treasures.

I shared the steps with Habitat.org, and if you click the image above, you’ll see the photo step-by-step.

If you’ve upcycled an item from your local Habitat ReStore, I’d love to know about it. Share in the comments below, or send a Tweet to us right now.
