In this video we look past the fact that stone wool insulation cuts more easily and installs faster than other insulation I’ve used on the job site and focus in on its sound deadening properties. How does Roxul absorb sound? It is both denser and has a non-direction (random) pattern. This both resists air flow better (and since sound is air vibrating) sound. But this is getting science-y.
