We love these ideas for patriotic door decorations

Patriotic door decorations from bloggers on Pinterest.

I’ve been enjoying all of the creative ideas for patriotic door decorations on Pinterest, and wanted to share my favorite creative ideas. And all of these ideas prove that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to create a eye-catching statement on your home’s front door.

From The Gunny Sack, I found this patriotic cupcake liner wreath from Tonia. As someone who has been challenged to create decor for bakeries, I’m especially charmed by this idea.

I love using wood to create signs and decorations. There’s something that’s innately charming about a few pieces of wood and rope. That’s why I like this creation by Kelly at Eyes on the Source.

This patriotic door decoration brings me back to Girl Scouts. I remember making crafts like this, and especially ‘swaps.’ I love that there are branches painted and tied to make this ‘frontier-sy’ styled decoration. I think this is a project that provides an excuse to learn some knot tying along the way.

This patriotic door decoration is a little more involved. There are many little papers to fold and glue, but the result is divine. It looks like the tops of many pretty umbrellas that I’d imagine would be in lots of festive drinks toasting to our nation.

Note: Whenever making new art for an entry door, make sure you have a hanger or something else that doesn’t puncture the door. You could void the warranty. (Check out this interview with ideas on how to hang door decorations with a Therma-Tru Doors expert.)
