We shared our top tips for Healthy Habits.

Health is better than wealth to me, and we’re dedicated to be as healthy as our bodies and busy lives let us.

It’s like how we DIY. Mark and I usually end up on the same path to the destination, but sometimes our starting point is worlds apart. It takes discussion and compromise to be like-minded, and anyone who’s ever had a long-term relationship is probably nodding and smiling right about now.

Mark is a speedboat in most everything. Before a plan is even completely made (in my view), he’s ready to start making stuff happen.

I’m rowboat. I like to take more time to plan, meditate, get inspired, check the possibilities, and discuss all of it in that artist-designer-collaborator vibe that I feel joyous when I get to work with someone who embraces my approach.

So in health and fitness, Mark is all in. He’s juicing our farm share in his NutriBullet four times a day, running and doing feats of strength at 5am training for Spartan races, and staying so super lean and trim. His side of health secrets are dedication, relentless commitment, and perseverance no matter what.

For my health habits, I used to row in college and recreationally afterward, run for fitness, and now it’s a daily yoga vinyasa and walks around our town or wherever we happen to be.

Years ago we were fortunate to talk with Mariel Hemingway, and her insights to health and fitness have stuck inside my soul ever since. She shared her health secrets, that she has tried everything, and not anything works for everyone. Some feel energized by martial arts or boxing, and others get centered and slim with yoga or tai chi.

Spartan race competitors take it seriously. And have fun.
Have fun, but take it seriously enough to be respectful to the craft.

In the end, as Theresa says, it’s always a love story.
