It’s the 21st Century — the Information Age. We’re so fully wired that we don’t even think about what it’s like not to be wired anymore. The result is that, part and parcel with jobsite tools such as demolition hammers, four-wheel drive trucks and wormdrive saws, are our electronics: cell phones, PDAs and notebook computers. (I used to run my business with a pencil, calculator and legal pad. Now I’m miffed if I don’t have wireless Internet access to communicate by e-mail or do research.)
