When I walk into an old building, I look for a vintage “tin” ceiling, one richly detailed with patterns, filigree and style and tied into a crown molding. Seeing beauty like that is one of my life’s true pleasures.
The reason I look for these ceilings in old buildings is because you don’t see it much in new construction. That’s a shame, because it’s far from a lost art. Just ask Chelsea Decorative Metal Company. They make modern ceilings and can help you detail your own installation.
What’s more, while it appears that installation takes some getting used to, you probably don’t have to call in an artisan contractor as a sub as you might for plaster. Layout and installation look like something you and your crew can handle with tools you already have — a key feature to this product and possibly a value-added for your business.
