I saw this tool in the Woodworker’s Supply Catalogue (yes, I still “read” paper catalogues) and it looks like it makes all the sense in the world for installing/hanging doors. Sort of a combination between caulk gun and clamp, this unit enables you to capture the bottom corner of a door you’re hanging and use the trigger action to lift it to just the right position to set the hinges in the mortises or slot in the hinge-pins. Also looks like it makes sense for resisting lateral motion on a door while installing a lockset or completing other procedures that otherwise requires wedging the door up and/or motionless like deadbolts, weather stripping, etc. Teamed up with the Trend Door Stand -which looks idea for edge-working a door (planing, mortising for a hinges and strike-this set looks like it was designed by someone who knows a little bit about doing the precision work required for doors with dazzle.
