If you like home design trends, I’ve got a few that have popped up for this year.

“Absolutely! I love spying home trends,” was my answer when my friends at Ply Gem asked me to share a few home design trends from the International Builders’ Show (IBS) and the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS).

Every year, Design & Construction Week is a jam-packed kick-off of what’s new and next in home design and building products. From windows to cabinets to tile to paint, there are trends that pop out. Among this year’s trends Abstraction (in form), Authenticism (in texture), and Restrained Glam (in style).

I shared what I spied as these three trends with Ply Gem. I’d love to know what you think about these home design trends, and what you predict about the coming year in home trends.
