If you are into the Modern Farmhouse look that we named Formal Farmhouse back in 2004, then installing beadboard might be a fun update for one or more walls in your home. As a sheet good, it can be installed over drywall, blocking, or strapping, and it doesn’t need to finished with three coats and sanding like drywall. Plus, it’s a charming classic look.
For this nursery room makeover, we installed beadboard, molding, and orange paint to help an expecting couple fix up and customize their nursery and get their living room ready for family gatherings after the baby’s arrival.
The nursery features a fun striped wall, beadboard wainscoting, and trim. Plus, we painted the inside of the closet purple to add a pop of fun for the new parents.
