Apps for cats. It’s true.

Cat playing an app game on a tablet

‣ MyFixitUpLife Cats have apps. And they have options when it comes to their apps.

I may be behind the curve on cats and technology, because I just heard about apps for cats from a friend.

Her cats had been enjoying CrazyCat, a free game with the goal of hitting little critters that appear on the screen.

So I downloaded it on our Kindle. Our cats weren’t too crazy about this game. Either our cats aren’t gamers, or they just don’t prefer the whac-a-mole type game.

The best place for free cat app options I’ve discovered is GamesForCats.com, where there’s a video showing a cat playing the games, and eight free games ready to download that include CatFishing, Happy Wings, and Tasty Treasures Hunt.

And if you are a cat app aficionado, check out Friskies’ contest with a grand prize of $15,000 for creating the best app at their Hackathon in Venice Beach on March 23.

No matter the games and the prizes for evolving the cat app industry, I’m still puzzled that there are any options when it comes to apps for my cats.
