Behind the Scenes at MyFixitUpLife: Coffee is a Must

Have you ever wondered what a day in the life of Mark and Theresa is really like?

Theresa's afternoon coffee

Once in awhile I get to visit Mark and Theresa and actually be inside MyFixitUpLife (as opposed to working from my own home office).

I love these visits because I get an inside look at what really happens. And let me tell you, madness and mayhem aside, there’s a good deal of coffee consumption going on in this house.

Here’s a typical day: wake up at the crack of dawn, drink some coffee, feed the kids, the cats, yourself.

Take a walk around the neighborhood, then settle in for the day’s work. Drink some more coffee.

Gawk at the to-do list and then jump right in. When your stomach grumbles, break for lunch and inbibe some chilled caffeinated carbonated beverages (for a change). Grab more coffee on the way back to the attic and jump back on the computer.

There are radio shows to plan, blogs to write, interviews to schedule, websites to update, tweets to tweet, and last minute projects to squeeze into the schedule–all before the babysitter leaves.

All the while you’re sipping away at the coffee, because unlike Jack, we don’t break for naps. So if you haven’t guessed it by now, coffee is an absolute must at MyFixitUpLife.  We simply can’t get through the day without it.

And since we here at MyFixitUpLife enjoy a little glamor while we watch Mark work on the roof (or attempt to type with just two fingers), we use these stylish and eco-chic coffee cozies every time we drink a cup of joe from our favorite neighborhood coffee shop. They add a bit of pizazz to our java and our fixitup lives.
