FixitUp Find: Bosch RS35 Reciprocating Saw

It’s an easy case to make that you need to get your blood pressure up to rip down a building, saw out a cast-iron pipe or demolish a deck. It is not work for the faint of heart.

Or the faint of tool.

Bosch’s new RS35 looks like a tool that’s up to the task. Here’s the break down:

Bosch says the RS35 is the most powerful — and lowest vibration — tool in the category. That’s a combination I like. A 15-amp motor delivers high-speed cutting and aggressive orbital action, which I like for moving through layered materials at a demo-site. Combine that with Bosch’s anti-vibration systems, a shock absorbing handle and a unique counterbalance system and the RS35 looks like it isolates the user from the tool’s vibration, with no loss of control or power. These are features, by the way, common on high-end rotary and demolition hammers and we all know Bosch is a leader there. Bottom line: the RS35 kicks out about 80 percent less vibration than some models, according to Big Blue.
