I need a pro-grade weedwhacker and I’m a little suspcious of buying such a tool at a home center. What’s your advice?

Home centers like Lowes and Home Depot sell lots of pro-grade tools—if you’re shopping for miter saws, nail guns, or bits for your rotary hammer. However, in lawn and garden, the power equipment is geared for the lower-volume professional and homeowner. I bought an Echo weed whacker, for example, and it has served me well (you should see my lawn…the thing gets it done). However, for full-on pro landscaper and gardener volume, you may be better served—both by product and by service—by buying at what’s called “pro distribution.” In other words, shop where the landscapers shop.
I hope this helps.
