Color meanings. What paint color helps my family eat healthy?

Color and meanings… The color of the room can affect what you eat, and how much you eat.

Knowing more about color meanings and our innate reactions to color can alter what we eat.

Color can affect what you eat and how much you eat. So, yes, you can use your knowledge about color meanings to persuade your family to make healthier choices without ever saying an encouraging word.

Here are a few colors and how they affect your appetite.

Yellow can stimulate your appetite.

Green can help make healthy foods more attractive.

Grey decreases appetites.

Red stimulates appetites.

Blue is soothing, and slows down metabolism.

Grey decreases appetites. And I think those cupcakes on the grey pedestal make me think they aren’t as yummy as they probably taste.

Grey and brown decrease appetites. Not a lot of tasty food is grey. And many people turn away from the look of brown, since it’s the color of burnt food.

Red stimulates appetites. Blue is soothing, and slows down metabolism. These treats look extra delicious because of those colors.
