Curb Appealing Door Colors

No matter what hues the color experts are promoting for top trends picks, conservative color palettes tend to stick as top picks for curb appeal colors. And for good reason. While my home is mine, there are neighbors and that mysterious ‘future buyer’ to consider when expressing my personal style. It’s easier and less expensive to swap out pillows and repaint my bathroom than it is to repaint the exterior of my house.

When it comes to turning your home’s front door into a grander entrance, I always say that plants and door color are perfect opportunities to help update a home and express your family’s and your home’s style without the huge expense of an all-over façade makeover.

If you’ve already explored pops of color with plants to add dimension and personal style to your entry, then think about taking the next step to the front door. Your door is where you can have a seasonally-permanent pop of color without turning off buyers or neighbors.

Unless you are a trend-setter, have like-minded neighbors and HOA, and a budget and time to update your door décor as styles change, I recommend staying classic with color choice but with your own special twist. Here are my five top color picks to makeover your door.

Benjamin Moore Raspberry Truffle (2080-10)
