Design tips to help your home feel like a refreshing glass of beer.

The best design tips help you channel your feelings into physical representations that keep those amazingly good feelings alive.

Classic, refined, defined. Void of clutter, but full of cozy. A perfect view on how I want to enjoy a drink with friends.

I don’t know how you feel when you enjoy the pleasure of a delicious cocktail or chilled glass or beer, and ready-to-have-fun friends around you. But I feel blissful, hopeful, joyous, thankful. And those delicious feelings translate into a luxe, comfortable, and clutter-free visual. The design tips that help me create the atmosphere of comfort and delight include keeping a calm color palette but with little pops of fun texture and interesting objects.

The interest pop is as calm as the palette, with a few being “enough as a feast” to keep the conversation rolling and the laughter in full supply when the company is comfortable and ready to enjoy the moments of friendship.

Amber flooring, and clean crisp design is the visual representation of a cold glass of beer.

To me, these images are inspired by that first sip of a deliciously cold beer on a wonderful summer evening, after a hard day of satisfying work. And knowing that no one in the group of friends wants to rehash any stress nonsense that we all carry around from busy lives filled with work, spouses, kids, mortgages, health issues, and I wouldn’t think of even mentioning that guy who drove 10 miles below the speed limit while I was late to my doctor’s appointment today…

A bar Cart is the ultimate glamour moment when it comes to making a little bar at home.

Let’s enjoy each other, these luxe images inspired by the colors of our favorite brews, the sensual pleasure of the leather, brass, wood and classic elegance that a sophisticated bar provides.

Brass is divine with black, and this brass reminds me of a classic beer tap.

The editors at Hoss often change the spelling of color, as they are Canadian. And I love the way they spell colour. I smile every time I see it, and the extra ‘u’ never gets old to me.
