One of the reasons I like DeWalt’s DW744X compact table saw is that it’s compact. I can haul its nimble 60 pounds it in an out of a cramped remodel like a tray or a suitcase — whatever works best. It’s got great power for ripping miles of wood, but on a wide-open deck site or rip-and-run framing situation, the saw is, uh, compact.
Again, I like compact between the truck and the site. But once there, that little saw sits low to the ground and kneeling down to cut gets way old way fast.
