Easter egg designs without the food color.

egg fabric

Looking for egg-cellent Easter egg designs, but without the bowls of food dye? We got this.

easter egg designs yarn wreath
An egg yarn wreath is charming and you can use plastic eggs So its easy to reuse next year

Even if you aren’t celebrating Easter, these Easter egg designs can be inspiration for any spring decoration, from wreath to mantel to tablescape.

Maybe it’s the years of dying eggs in little bowls filled with hot food coloring… but I’m especially charmed by the no-dye approach to Easter decor. Using fabric, string, yarn, and markers, both plastic and real eggs are transformed.

Here are a few of my favorites. I’d love to see what you are decorating for spring. Please Tweet me, or share your comments below.

egg fabric
Decorate eggs with fabric A smart look that relies on getting the fit just right Cut fabric into strips and glue those strips in layers Patience is your friend
black white flower egg
Im charmed by a black and white decorated basket of eggs The delicate artwork reminds me of lace and its as easy as using a sharpie and a steady hand The white is the color of the shell
chalkboard eggs
How about chalkboard eggs These are fun eggs to hide in a egg hunt if you want to give it a scavenger hunt twist Or use these as place card settings for Easter brunch
eggs string
Wrapping real eggs with string is a harder feat but wrapping plastic eggs gives you this little cheat to start Just be sure you glue the plastic egg shut to avoid the possible snap open frustration moment
