There’s a few easy tips that make caulking easier.
If you get more caulk on your hands than on a project you know caulking can be frustrating, but with a few tricks, it’s easier than you think to make projects and repairs come out great.
The first big step to make caulking easier is a tiny move: It’s how you cut the tip of the tube. For most projects, about half-way down the taper with a slight angle works best. If you’re uncomfortable using a utility knife, try using snips.
Put the short end of the angle in the direction you’re moving. And always keep even pressure on the trigger and keep the tip moving.
After you lay the bead of caulk, dampen your finger, then screed it smooth.
Clean hands. Clean clothes. Beautiful project.
