Sometimes it’s hard enough to just survive what life hands us on an ordinary day.
Other days some of us have a little bit extra to do. And we step up and just get it done.
That’s my favorite jewelry designer’s mojo.
7-year-old Ava learned she has type 1 diabetes earlier this year. And then she named it Chuck.
She didn’t like the name diabetes.
“It has also inspired us to help show her that there is nothing that she cannot do in life despite this disease,” says her parents.
More than just the name, she’s worked hard to help raise money for curing, better treating, and preventing T1D.
CHUCK stands for Communities Helping us Cure Kids.
I’m proud that we donated to their JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes. And I’m honored to wear the bracelet that Ava made to thank us for our support.
It’s a reminder that anything is possible, even on those extraordinary days.
