FixitUpFind: Mike Rowe Works Cat Footwear

If you want to kick it Cat-style and kick around like Mike Rowe, the boots-in-the-mud-and-poop show host of Dirty Jobs, then you have to check out the Mike Rowe Works’ line of work boots from Cat Footwear. Yes, the same big-yellow name on the heavy equipment, skidsteers and giant dump trucks you see on jobsites large and small.

Mike Rowe of The Discovery Channel's Dirty Jobs (which Mike created) and also of Lee Jeans, Ford Trucks, and the dulcet tones narrating The Deadliest Catch...just sayin', the guy is busy.

Cat sent us a pair to check out. Triple stitching. Lots of leather. Rugged, not-gonna-wear-out any-time-soon-looking soles. (Bonus: My wife says they look good on me.)

And while you’re scoping out the gear Mike puts his name on, we like that he does it humbly: “I decided to create boots and shoes with Cat footwear because wherever I go, that’s what I see the experts wear. Cat footwear on the guys who do the jobs that make civilized life possible for the rest of us.” Plus if you like this kind of look at civilization, check out www.MikeRoweWorks.com for Mike’s mission to save the trades, the tradesman, and civilization as we know it.

Mike Rowe Works' Cat Footwear Endeavor.

The shoe series includes classic 6- and 8-inch work boots, a hybrid boot, as well as a rugged casual shoe option.  Each style is made with the rugged quality materials that Cat is known for, with some styles available in steel toe versions.
