For a guy who is officially cured of desire to shovel snow and has spent an inordinate amount of time trying to find solutions that work, just knowing that The Home Plow by Meyer exists makes me happy.
The Home Plow looks like an awesome snow-moving solution for all kinds of driveways—and that it doesn’t require the heavy iron of a full-size truck (think Ram 1500, 2500 for Ford F-150, F-250)—it means householders with sport utility vehicles and lighter pick-up trucks are in the game.
The Home Plow requires a receiver hitch mount in the front of the vehicle and some wiring for the in-cab controls and that’s it. A Meyer dealer can install and wire it. At 241 pounds and a wheel kit, the unit moves easily for storage in a garage. Save the snow thrower and shovel for walks, then gas up for the driveway and beyond.
