SimpliciKey deadbolts are Remote Control Electronic Deadbolts that operate via keypad or—and this is a feature unique to SimplciKey and what caught my eye—the key fob like you have for your car. Carrying a kid or pile of groceries? Forget about keying in your combination, just hit the button and woop–ee–woop (I don’t think it makes a sound like your car might) the bolt throws. But if you need access via the keypad—say for a maid, dog-walker or visitor—you can pre-program an access code and give it to them. I also like the unit’s sliding key-pad cover. It slides up for keypad access. Very nice. SimpliciKey comes in polished brass, satin nickel, and aged bronze. It costs about $200 and is available at The Home Depot.
