Flower, carpenter style

My husband Mark can be surprisingly thoughtful.

‣ MyFixitUpLife He’s got that hard-edged boots-in-the-mud jobsite-personality stuff that often requires a lot of patience to manage.

And since work together all day long — in the office, on the jobsite, at the radio station, and as parents — we often tend to get a little trapped inside the task at hand. (You know the drill: Did you do this? When are you doing that? How are you going to do this by then?)

So, it was a sweet surprise to open an email from him with this flower inside.

Of course, it’s from a carpenter, so it’s made out of rope. 🙂
