Fur and fringe in home decor… I’m obsessed

It might just be joyous to have ‘Fur and Fringe Fridays’ at our office.

When I was a little girl, my mother showed me a few fur collars that she used to wear in the 60s, and I crinkled my nose at the idea of wearing them. But my artist-soul eyed them as good costume potential, and I have since stuck them in my costume box. (It’s my go-to box at Halloween, and for having a fun dress up afternoon with the kids.)

But in the last decade I’ve decided that both (fake) fur and (real) fringe are divine.

Starting with a black fringe dress that I purchased from Express about 7 years ago (and I was surprised to see it reintroduced this season as a window display), and a pair of brown furry boots that I almost lived-in for a season or five. Fur and fringe started to make me smile.

But now that I turn to my white faux fur jacket when I’m feeling low, I now know that my crinkled nose seems like forever-ago. Fur and fringe are now bringing me joy.

The idea of incorporating faux fur chairs and fringey ottomans in my home is a new decor goal, so I’m delighted to see so many options popping up in home decor.

I’ve been pinning Fur and Fringe ideas on Pinterest, and here are a few of my favorites.
