Mark and Theresa are blasting their way through Kermit the Frog’s catch-phrase “it’s not easy being green” with eco-friendly help from special guests Steve Thomas, host of “Renovation Nation” on Planet Green, and from DIY Network’s “Rehab Addict,” host Nicole Curtis, who’s sharing the skinny on salvage yards, flea markets, and recycling vintage furnishings.

They’re also talking about the safety of burning softwood cut-offs like pine in your fireplace, GAP’s denim recycling efforts to turn your used jeans into insulation, green concrete from Quikrete, and the Carpet America Recovery Effort mission to recycle more of the 6 billion pounds of discarded carpet we’re discarding in the US this year. Nyloboard is turning some of that carpet into decks, fences, flooring, and sheathing. They’re also talking knots, discarded coffee cups, and so much more.

And for those of you who want to take your enviro-efforts to a new level, we’ll be announcing the winner of the Little Giant Select Step ladder on this episode of MyFixitUpLife.

So sit back, relax, and grab a cup of sustainable coffee in a reusable cup, while we deliver you the latest in home improvement inside our earth-friendly show that contains absolutely no recycled content.
