If you watch HGTV, house flipping may seem like a good idea. However, a recent report from the real estate data analytics company Attom showed that the return on investment fell to its lowest level since 2009.
Among the factors causing the squeeze on house flipping profits is the lack of inventory, rising cost of building products, and a tight real estate market. Still, 10 percent of homes sold in the U.S. during the first quarter of 2022 were flipped.

If your stainless steel flatware is looking a little dull and dingy, and you have some aluminum foil, here’s a quick fix. Toss a ball of aluminum foil in the dishwasher with the flatware, and run the cycle as usual.
The chemical reaction between dishwashing detergent and aluminum lifts the oxidized layer from the stainless steel’s chromium and nickel. And aluminum bonds more readily to oxygen.
