How to Decorate with Corn Home Decor For Thanksgiving

Literal and abstract, corn home decor is a fun way to amp up the whimsical decorating mojo for maxed-out fall fun for Thanksgiving gatherings. Whether it’s including corn candles in your Thanksgiving tablescape or introducing the color and pattern of a corn on a cob into the family room gathering spot, we’ve gathered a few choice home decorating options that are giving me a corny smile of joy. Here’s a corny view on Thanksgiving decor for your home.

Corn pillows

Double-sided mustard yellow plush throw pillows with a chunky corduroy texture, the rows of yellow remind me of ripe delicious corn. A fitting color, too, for the 1970s throwbacks to conversation pits, crocheted afgans, and wood paneling.

Corn foot stool

Despite the oddly questionable description on Amazon, this corn foot stool is a charmer. Hand-painted and glazed to look like an ear of corn, it’s 17.5 inches tall and weighs 8.5 pounds. It’s a corn home decor item that could be quite fun in an home that’s obsessed with keeping chickens, too.

Corn blanket

This sunny yellow fleece blanket has the ridges that remind us of an ear of corn. An easy way to infuse some fall color into a living room or bedroom, the blanket is available in a variety of sizes.

Corn lamps

Shaped like gourds, these yellow ceramic lamps have the vertical ridges of a corn cob. Their fun shape adds a touch of whimsy and sunny harvest mojo to an interior space.

Corn art

A vintage tin sign with a Sweet Corn image can be a charming way to add some farmhouse fun to a Thanksgiving decorating scheme.

Corn candles

Add a pair of corn candles to the Thanksgiving tablescape and increase the whimsy and fun. Corn candles are bound to be an unusual conversation starter, too.
