Want to know How to make DIY glass cleaner?
It’s easy. We’ll show you two ways.
Making glass cleaner at home can save time, money, reduce your impact on the planet and help make your home healthier for your family. Especially when you reuse spray bottles and use planet-friendly ingredients.
You can add a few drops of essential oils to either recipe. While you can choose an essential oil that you love because of the scent, you can also add oils that are known for their cleaning power.
Some oils like tea tree can destroy bacteria, viruses, and fungus. Others like lemon and orange can help cut grease.
Let’s make the first glass cleaner.
If you’d like to watch us make these recipes, Jack and I made both cleaners in the video below.
Recipe ingredients
- Water
- White vinegar
- Spray bottle
- Essential oil
How to directions
Mix 1 cup of water to 1/4 cup of vinegar.
- Pour 1 cup of water into a spray bottle.
- Pour 1/4 cup vinegar into the spray bottle.
Let’s make the second cleaner.
We added rubbing alcohol to this recipe because it quickens the evaporation process on glass. This reduces the likelihood of water spots.
Recipe ingredients

Mix 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup rubbing alcohol, and 1 tbsp vinegar.
- Pour 1/2 cup of water into a spray bottle.
