Upcycling and repurposing old furniture is fun, especially when we’re able to add years to the life of a well-loved piece of furniture or create something that helps others.

If you’ve been thinking about transforming furniture, and haven’t tried out your DIY makeover skills, I suggest starting with paint. Paint is the easiest way to update the look of most everything. And while it is the easiest, and relatively inexpensive, there are a few things you need to know before you get started. I wouldn’t want you to not realize your DIY dreams. So I’ve shared a few painting furniture basics with our friends at Progressive.
