How we created a DIY tiki torch from a pair of snow skis

Our local Habitat for Humanity ReStore has led us to making this unique DIY tiki torch from snow skis.

When Mark and I were asked, by our friends at Krylon, to make a DIY tiki torch, I knew the first place we had to look was at our local Habitat for Humanity ReStore.

With so many unique things there, it wasn’t long until I found the perfect materials for our project! It just so happened that I chose winter snow skis…

This was Mark’s first time at a Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Looks like he was having fun!
You can find almost everything you need at Habitat ReStores. But thankfully we didn’t need that painting!

Hello Gloss Yellow!
Krylon’s SuperMaxx paint quick dry time is super essential to finishing this in an afternoon.
We used Gorilla Glue Construction Adhesive to hold the two skis together and form the post of the tiki torch.

It’s true, DIY projects really make me this happy!
