Jack’s blog: Move that Bus

Jack at Extreme Makeover: Home Edition's Thanksgiving special for the Dunning family

Have you ever seen a really cool bus and couldn’t wait for it to move?

Yeah, me, too.

I went to this place with my family. It took a few hours. Lots of good trucks to watch on the way there.

They said there would be an awesome bus where we were going. They were right. But it didn’t move.

It was a cool-looking bus. Way cooler than the buses I like to watch in my town.

You might now know this, but I go to this special bench in town with my Mommy, and we look for school buses and white buses. We also like to look at trucks and cars. Sometimes there’s even dancing trucks. Those are the trucks that have loud music.

Buses are pretty good at showing up, except I think some of them take a long rest on Sundays, because not all of them are out on that day. I don’t get why. I mean, I get up at the same time—really early—every day. Why would a bus need to sleep extra? It’s really big and rests every few blocks anyway.

Well this special bus was orange and yellow. And there were a lot of bus fans there, just like me I think. They all wanted it to move. They kept yelling “MOVE THAT BUS.” But it just napped for a LONG time. Maybe it took a long trip like we did to get there.

So, I stopped waiting and took my dad into this field and we played. I never saw the bus move. My sister says it did. She said it happened. I think that I believe her.

I did get a really cool badge with a picture of the bus on it, so I guess it was worth going.

Believe you me, I will definitely talk with the bus driver next time and find out the bus schedule.

(NOTE: Jack was at the Move the Bus day for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition‘s Thanksgiving special filmed in Delaware.)
