Make a holiday card holder that’s perfect for everyday

There are so many good holiday card holder ideas that I can’t resist making another. And I have a new way to display holiday cards that I think you are going to love.

I love using holiday cards as a way to decorate, and I’ve used ribbon, clothespins, and more to display them.

But now I’ve finally come up with a way that displays my holiday cards, that I could actually use year-round to display birthday cards, artwork and other treasures from school.

It’s a ceiling medallion.

To make this holiday card holder, I used posterboard, upholstery stapler, paint, and a ceiling medallion from Fypon. I chose a polyurethane medallion because it takes paint beautifully and it’s resistant to weathering. So I have the added option of displaying it as a wreath on our porch.

Attach the posterboard to the back of the medallion with the stapler, so it’s snug and there’s room to slip a card between the medallion and the posterboard.

Decorate the medallion in whatever style you like. Decorating this holiday card holder is a fun project to do with kids, but for mine, I chose to spend some mommy-meditative time painting alone.

Slip the cards in the holiday card holder, and enjoy the holidays wishes from friends and family.
