My newest tool crush: Rockwell’s BladeRunner X2

I’ve fallen for Rockwell’s BladeRunner X2. And here’s why.

Spelling out family from pieces of tile kind of fits our family’s personality. It’s an easy project with my new crush, Rockwell’s BladeRunner X2.

First off, let me explain how I approach tools.

So, my husband Mark gets psyched to try out every new tool. He’ll admire how a tool is made, and instantly compare with the thousands of other tools he’s used. And then he starts to think about how the tool could be used in the projects he has planned.

Me? I dream up a project and then start thinking about what tools I need to make it reality.

And I am annoyed when I don’t have the right tool in our shop to make my reality happen the way I envision it. That’s why I fell for the BladeRunner X2. I can make projects from tile, metal, wood, and more, with ease. While it’s handy for helping with home improvement projects, it’s become an essential to help me make decor projects, both big and small.

Here’s a project I made using the BladeRunner X2.

If you are thinking this might be a perfect gift for you or a friend this holiday season, Mark and I will be demonstrating the tool, giving a few away, and sharing amazing deals on Thursday, December 4th at 3pmET. Tune in here!

Cutting metal is a breeze with the BladeRunner. There are blades for different materials, and they are simple to change.
I used Elmer’s ProBond Advanced glue to affix the tiles to the wood shim backer. And delighted that the Elmer’s glue worked perfectly.
Making word art out of cut-offs is really fun. It’s a graphic game that makes me smile.
Inspired by wall art that I’ve seen on blogs and Instagram, I wanted to make a simple decor for our home using tile and a wood shim backing.
I look so serious! But I’m just concentrating on making a little cut with the BladeRunner.
Laying out the little tiles and creating a fun art piece is a perfect way to spend an afternoon.
Love making this ‘Family’ wall art for my family
