Destination Decked Out
Live from the 2011 Deck Expo inside the Real Outdoor Living 1000-square-foot Wood Pavilion, Mark and Theresa are talking real wood, real fun, and really extreme projects. Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’s Diane Korman SKYPES in to share the news about that ABC show’s 7-houses-in-7-days 200th episode planned in Joplin.
Mark and Theresa give a few hints about their special project: designing/building a wood playground structure as part of that show. They also talk about the Ellen show, finding out how to volunteer to be a part of Extreme Makeover, and StandTogether.tv, which is helping to get the word out about anti-bullying.
They’re talking with Jimmy from Stanley Tools who is on the ground in Joplin getting ready to help a local trade school and prepare his team and tools for that Extreme Makeover project.
Plus Mark and Theresa check in with the talented and fun Professional Deck Builder magazine’s editor Andy Engel. If you think you’ve seen a deck that needs to be repaired, you’ll enjoy hearing about the three-story nightmare that Andy’s magazine recently profiled. It’s a ‘what not to do’ guide for deck builders.
Theresa and Mark attempt to dive through the fun with workshops, tools, and real wood projects top of mind with Real Outdoor Living and ToolSkool’s Brad Staggs (author of Spend-A-Little Save-A-Lot).
