Why are we Building a Healthy Neighborhood in Nashville with Rebuilding Together? We’re talking about volunteering and making a difference on today’s show. Tune in.
What the health are we waiting for?!
It’s time to build a healthier America and we’re doing it one neighborhood at a time here in Nashville at Rebuilding Together’s annual Building a Healthy Neighborhood event where we helped 15 homeowners fix their homes and build a stronger neighborhood.
Among the hundreds of volunteers are HGTV hosts, and American Idol contestants Casey James and Ayla Brown. Singer-songwriter and all-American Ayla talks to MyFixitUpLife hosts about creating music, helping in neighborhoods, and performing for the troops. And Casey James shares how he’s a DIY guy at heart, and puts down his guitar to pick up a hammer to help build back this Nashville neighborhood on the edge.
Helping out from boards to bark mulch, trucks to table saws, and ladders to love, Lowe’s is on, in and above the ground making work happen. Quay Chilcott jumps in to talk Carter’s Kids and playground power.
And coming in fully stocked with both crate and barrel overflowing with helping hands and giving hearts, Crate and Barrel CEO Sascha Bopp reminds us that part of the bottom line is a better world.
That’s what we call health from the ground up. Accept nothing less than a better world. It’s time to build a healthy neighborhood right now on MyFixitUpLife.
