Size matters! Tiny house + small space design. Let’s talk on MyFixitUpLife.

Stuff expands to fill our spaces! And small space design ideas will help us get more organized. Tune in.

While we might not be ready for living in a Japanese capsule hotel room (6′-7″ x 3′-3″ x 4′-1″), the Tiny House movement is definitely gaining popularity in the US. There’s much talked about for pro-small spaces and tiny houses: sustainability, lower expenses, and for a less stressful lifestyle. So we’re thinking Tiny House designs can give us some inspiration for getting our spaces more organized.

So we’re asking experts how to design and organize small spaces.

Expert designer Kelly Edwards, author of the ‘Design Cookbook,’ is working on a new book about small space design, and she’s ready to share a few of her expert tips with us. Kelly was the co-host and design coordinator for HGTV’s ‘Design on a Dime’ as well as STYLE Network’s ‘Tacky House.’ She’s also shared home decorating tips for Shelter Pop.

Tiny House design expert Kim Lewis is sharing ideas on how to successfully design for small spaces. Kim has designed more than 75 homes as the lead designer for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Find out more about Kim at KimLewisDesigns.com.

Karman Hotchkiss, a home design editor at Better Homes and Gardens, is sharing tips to help us get more organized at home, and we’re hoping a little preview into the next issue of BHG.

Check out the MyFixitUpLife talk show with Kelly Edwards, Kim Lewis and Karman Hotchkiss that originally aired Thursday, October 2nd. We talk Tiny Houses and Small Space Design. Watch or listen on BlogTalkRadio, YouTube, G+, and right here.
