My new favorite place to relax is the NestRest.
I never really thought of a bird nest as a super-lux cool spot. Until I met Dave Masin in Seattle.
Yes, bird houses are the typical first woodworking project for kids, and bird nests and houses seem like fairly simple spaces for feathery creatures.
But I didn’t know what it was like to be inside one until I was able to jump inside a NestRest when we were at King 5’s New Day Northwest in Seattle. (And for human-size comparison of space, the inside is just half the space the astronauts will have on the MarsOne mission)
The NestRest looks like a large bird’s nest and it feels like a cozy spot inside. The lounger weighs 188 pounds, and it has a 360 degree rotation on a base or hanging so you can literally feel like a bird in a nest. Perfect for a sunny day, and a fun place for kids to play pretend.
And yes, I’m ignoring the $15,000 price tag for this gorgeous chair when I say that I need more-than-several for our backyard.
