Post Recession Business

In a previous contribution I wrote that with fewer clients, dollars and projects to go around, some contractors might benefit from expanding their company’s offerings, notably grounds maintenance and snow removal and the addition of fixed-cost equipment to offset the variability of labor while increasing output/capacity.

Turns out I’m neither alone nor first in this type of thinking, at least to a degree. HGTV Dream Home 2011 landscape architect, whom Theresa and I had the good fortune of meeting when we toured the home, Ian Ambler is both the design and installation firm that set the landscape on the Dream Home in Stowe, Vermont.
