Real Estate News

Pocket listings seem to be on the rise. This private way of selling homes limits the exposure of a house for sale, and then the real estate agent can keep the entire commission.

Even though it’s against the National Association of Realtor’s Clear Cooperation Policy that within one business day of marketing a property, the listing must be submitted to the multiple listing service, it hasn’t stopped the practice.

With the hot real estate market, pocket listings probably won’t disappear any time soon.

A study by the U.S. Forest Service reveals that lawn mowing frequency doesn’t influence the prevalence of ticks

Researchers conducted a 2-year study measuring grass that was mowed at 1-week, 2-week, and 3-week intervals with heights reaching from 2.5 inches to 10 inches. They found that even the tallest lawns did not have ticks.
