This wall art used to be a kitchen cabinet!

A little cabinet from Habitat for Humanity ReStore can have a new life as wall art.

It’s a fun mission to repurpose a cabinet into art.

A little bit of paint, a few tools, and a shopping trip to Habitat for Humanity ReStore can be a magical combination for a creative DIY soul. After I see the variety of items and the endless opportunities to create new uses for those unique treasures, my heart is happy.

So when I spied a little kitchen cabinet sitting solo among collections of cabinets, I decided to give the little cabinet a new life as a superstar wall art.

Boards create cabinets. So I knew that I could take the cabinet apart and easily make something new with those boards. It’s just the way you look at it. As I view this cabinet, I see a DIY opportunity to repurpose a cabinet into wall art.

I’m a big fan of CBS Sunday Morning. It’s a gentle way of learning about the world’s events, and quirky little insights into life. Plus, the little sunshine art that is paired with every segment makes me happy. After seeing so many sunshines on the show, I was inspired to make my own version. This version is a repurposed cabinet from Habitat ReStore.
